Arte e Design Venezia in collaboration with Venice Design Week presents 100 Progetti x 100 Identità: a project that will open on May 20th at the opening of the Biennale and will end on November 26th, 2023. The entire initiative is hosted at Magazzino Gallery Palazzo Contarini Polignac, in the kilometer of art.
„100 Progetti x 100 Identità” was born from the collaboration between Arte Design Venezia and Venice Design Week in order to explore how the architectural work represents those who use it and at the same time become a symbol for the urban context. Inside Magazzino Gallery Palazzo Contarini Polignac, in the kilometer of art, there will be four exhibitions that will take place in the same period of the Biennale: architecture for the community, architecture for work, architecture for hospitality and interior design, the importance of detail. It will be possible to observe a hundred selected projects capable of giving identity to the places. Buildings where people identify and choose to live, work, share their free time.

Research has no geographical limits and includes projects from all over the world. As time limits have been chosen architectural works made in recent years or still in the construction phase. In the various exhibitions you will notice how different cultures express in a completely original way the essence of their society and their value heritage through architecture. Buildings represent the hierarchy of values and relationships that are characteristic of a community. The architect is called to interpret the needs to develop spaces that will be functional and at the same time become a symbol, landmark for the urban space. The population lives and works in environments that can foster values such as integration and inclusivity if they are designed by answering specific questions that outline the project. The planimetric configurations, the technological systems chosen, highlight the weight that is attributed to respect for the environment and the sustainability of the construction. The architect’s task is to interpret and rework the inputs of society to build buildings that become the nerve points of our lives. The choice of eco-friendly materials and technologies expresses shared values that are the basis of daily life.
It will be possible to observe how the architecture is modulated and designed down to the detail. Photographs, projects, renderings and models will transport us into evocative and functional environments.In the exhibition dedicated to hospitality, Foster and Partners, Revery Architecture, WERK Arkitekter and Snơhetta, MVRDV, Moore Ruble Yudell Architects, Lemoal Leomal participate among others.
The projects will be published in a box containing the four catalogs. The exhibition is open every day from 10.00 AM-12.00 PM and 04.00 PM- 07.00 PM, entry free. Opening on 20 May 2023 05.00 PM at Magazzino Gallery, Palazzo Contarini Polignac. Free entry.
