The Genipabu Sideboard/Buffer is inspired by the stunning Genipabu Dunes, where the wind sculpts the sands into enchanting landscapes. A landmark in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, the dunes offer a unique experience to visitors. Their rhythmic triangular structures also serve as a small wine cellar. The design captures the fluidity of wind-shaped sands, forming sinuous curves that create striking visual textures. Tura Table Golden A’ Design Award Winner for Furniture Design Category in 2024 Mai Wahdan for Luxentti This table draws inspiration from the strength and grandeur of the pyramids, built using Tura stone, a symbol of resilience and history. This connection influenced both its name and design concept. By merging ancient materials with modern elements, the table embodies a dialogue between past and present. Extensive research into limestone durability and glass technology guided material selection, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic harmony.

Accordion Modular Sofa Golden A’ Design Award Winner for Furniture Design Category in 2024 Yuqi Wang for Jason Furniture (Hangzhou) Co.,Ltd. This is a Modular sofa. What sets it apart from most modular sofas is that it uses a single base module capable of changing size and shape to create endless sofa configurations. Additionally, it can be compressed for flat-pack packaging, making it easy to carry while also reducing packaging, storage, and transportation costs.

Lesly Coat Rack Silver A’ Design Award Winner for Furniture Design Category in 2024 Guonian Li, Haixu Zhang and Guoyu Wang for Ziel Home Furnishing Technology Co., Ltd. The design inspiration for the Lesly series coat racks is drawn from nature’s leaves and dewdrops. Leaves symbolize the continuation of life and the vibrant vitality of greenery, while dewdrops are nature’s gift, shimmering like precious gems. The Lesly series coat racks integrate this natural beauty into their design, featuring crystal dewdrop locators for versatile hanging, aiming to bring a sense of tranquility and freshness to home environments

Anima Armchair Silver A’ Design Award Winner for Furniture Design Category in 2024 Pietro Luigi Verona for Pietro Luigi Verona From the shapes and materials of the armchair, the project aims to express the positive experience transmitted in the beauty of nature’s playful and symmetrical forms, giving us good feelings, which we experience when we are in contact with natural elements. The Anima armchair was designed based on the observation of aspects present in both Brazilian fauna and flora, with the aim of transmitting the beauty perceived through the interpretation of shapes.

Orbita Luminaire by Ignacio M. Todeschini and Ignacio Noel Inspired by celestial cycles, orbital movements, and the sun’s circadian rhythm. An opportunity to enhance the user’s quality of life was identified by allowing them to customize their lighting according to different times of the day and specific uses. The high-tech material, with its unique technical properties, presented both a challenge and a strong source of inspiration. The pursuit of highlighting the material’s attributes became an intrinsic part of the design process.

Firefly is the name of an insect that are light emitting, and also refers to something that shines in the darkness. It is a luminous object that illuminates its surrounding area, creating a unique identity around it.A firefly is reminiscent of old lamps that were used as luminous elements in indoor spaces before the invention of electricity and light bulbs. These lamps created a limited, low, and localized light in the space, with each one giving meaning to a corner of the environment.

When a frequently used part of a light fixture gets damaged, we often discard the entire fixture, which is quite wasteful. To address this issue, we have designed a reusable light fixture. The modular design allows users to freely combine light modules according to their needs, creating different lighting effects and styles. Additionally, by using recyclable and eco-friendly materials in its manufacturing, we also reduce the impact on the environment.

The advancement of the Hefei High Tech Zone, which facilitates the transition of. Anhui Province from a culturally rich region to a hub of science and innovation, serves as the central theme of this poster. As the capital of Anhui Province, Hefei boasts a rich heritage of Huizhou culture, where traditional Huizhou architecture seamlessly merges with modern technology and innovation, as if it were starting a dialogue that bridges the past and the future, and painting a vibrant scene at their intersection.

La Plage draws inspiration from archival photos of the 1950s beachside lifestyle. We created playful and engaging compositions that evoke the era’s nostalgic charm. A blend of bohemian allure and seaside nostalgia is brought to life through sophisticated figures and whimsical scenes. Bold and striking typography complements the interior’s aesthetic, embodying a captivating narrative of seaside elegance with an artistic flair. Every detail was carefully crafted, inviting guests to escape the ordinary.

A’ Design Competition results are announced every year on April 15. Best products, projects and services worldwide that demonstrate superior design, technology and creativity are rewarded with the A’ Design Award; the symbol of excellence in design and innovation. There are five different levels of distinction: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Iron A’ Design Awards are distributed annually in all design disciplines. Designers, companies and institutions from all countries are annually called to take part in the accolades by nominating their best works, projects and products for award consideration.

The A’ Design Awards are given for Good Spatial Design (Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Design and Landscape Design), Good Industrial Design (Product Design, Appliance Design, Vehicle Design and Machinery Design), Good Communication Design (Graphics Design, Interaction Design and Marketing Design), Good Fashion Design (Garment Design, Fashion Accessory Design and Footwear Design), Good System Design (Service Design, Design Strategy, Quality & Innovation) as well as for Achievements in Arts & Literature.

The inspiration of „Mystical Serpent” comes from the legend of Zhulong, a serpent deity from ancient Chinese lore who governs day-night cycles and symbolizes eternal life. Additionally, it incorporates the story of the ancient Roman „domestic snake” the guardian of family. The fusion embodies renewal, protection, and the unbroken thread of life across civilizations. Also this integration achieves a convergence of Eastern and Western cultures, and conveys the profound meaning of protection and the continuation of life.

Spiral Bloom is a large-scale public art installation specifically designed for a modern, high-ceiling atrium with expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The artwork consists of three sculptural elements, measuring 640 cm, 750 cm, and 1070 cm, suspended within a 36-meter-wide and 7.8-meter-high space.

The inspiration for the installation stems from my ongoing exploration of time in my Moment series. The project reflects the interplay between the past, present, and future. Traditional travertine stone, representing history, contrasts with the dynamic glass splashes, which symbolize the present moment frozen in time. Technically, the challenge of merging such contrasting materials to convey temporal concepts drove the design, aiming to create a timeless yet dynamic narrative.

Inspired by National Geographic books that beauty in honeycomb with a tapestry of six sided cells, it representing facets of love. Its simplicity reveals a powerful truth. love resides in harmony, reflecting the strength of the hexagon, this design of irregular honeycomb shapes, its explores love’s complexities. love shelters us through life’s ebbs and flows.

Packaging Bejeweled is inspired by the designer’s observations on disposable packaging that is commonly discarded in daily life. Designers use cheap packaging instead of traditional jewelry production ways to explore the power of the combination of packaging and jewelry. It suggests that even the most affordable materials can become worthy of attention when reimagined and creatively repurposed. This concept allows plastic packaging to become an integral part of the jewelry. Wearers can choose to place their cherished items, such as old wedding rings or heirloom jewelry from their parents, inside the transparent casing. This not only protects the precious jewelry but also showcases these treasures to viewers. This idea is central to what the designer wishes to convey through her work.

Tulin Atamer for Flow Enjoy Design
Melty is a glass storage jar designed to make stylish presentations to guests. The handles are combined with a transparent glass jar and a transparent acrylic lid so that they can stand out with their sculptural form and bright colors. The handles, made of polyester material, are painted with auto acrylic paint and mounted on the lid with screws.

[ro] Mihaela Ion este manager cultural cu o experienţă de peste 17 ani în cadrul industriei creative şi culturale româneşti şi cu un doctorat în istorie. Pe lângă educaţia universitară dedicată istoriei artei, Mihaela s-a specializat în domeniul managementului cultural în Londra şi Paris prin bursele acordate acesteia, de către Fundaţia Gabriela Tudor şi Ministerul Culturii din Franţa. Este co-fondatoare a Revistei Atelierul (Asociaţia Atelierul de Creaţie) şi a proiectelor generate de această comunitate internaţională: "Creative Night Talks", "Noaptea albă a creatorilor şi designerilor de produs". Este evaluatoare independentă pentru diferiţi cofinanţatori publici. Curatoriază expoziţii în diferite galerii de artă şi spaţii de consum de artă, din România şi străinătate.
